Our SMART Focus Groups aim to obtain employee insights regarding current work demands and supports that can be leveraged to identify meaningful change. The focus on work design moves away from solely individual, or relationship-based approaches to methods of working together more efficiently and meaningfully.

The main aims of the SMART focus groups include:

  • Utilisation of a methodology that facilitates a constructive approach to understanding psychosocial risks within an organisational functional area
  • Provision of a framework for employees to understand and unpack the impact of their current work design on their productivity and well-being
  • Utilisation of a methodology that facilitates employees feeling an improved sense of empowerment and ownership over their work design and contextual environment

Lead by experts in work design and organisational data analytics, FOWI’s team of Researchers and Psychologists will conduct a comprehensive thematic analysis following the focus groups to provide data driven insights. FOWI’s team of experts will draw on cutting edge research and extensive industry experience to develop targeted recommendations, and evidence-based action planning.
