This masterclass will focus on the SMART work design model, a framework that can be used to design meaningful and motivating work.

The SMART work design model, developed by Australian Research Council Professor Sharon Parker at the Future of Work Institute, is a framework that can be used to design meaningful and motivating work. Based on decades of research, the SMART work design model identifies five key themes that result in positive outcomes that contribute to creating a thriving organisation. Focusing on SMART work design enables organisations to design engaging and enriched jobs, helping to create significant benefits for employees and employers alike.

The masterclass will offer participants the chance to:

  • Better understand the theoretical and statistical background of the SMART work model
  • Learn ways in which work design can drastically impact organisational performance and individual employee experience through real world case studies
  • Carry out a work redesign experience based on real world data
  • Identify the requirements for carrying out effective and engaging work redesign within their own organisation

This training session can be customised to be focused on remote working practices as well as Return to Work.
