The SMART work design framework identifies the key characteristics of jobs that support positive wellbeing, performance, and growth. The five domains are Stimulating, Mastery, Agency, Relational and Tolerable Demands.
This report shows your score for each domain and sub-construct, alongside an Australian employee benchmark (the dark line on each bar).
Note: Higher scores indicate higher quality work design. For Tolerable Demands, higher scores mean demands are more manageable — a better result.
Review your scores for each domain and sub-construct. The dark line shows where the average Australian employee sits.
Identify your strengths (scores above the benchmark) and areas that may benefit from attention (scores below).
If you feel comfortable, discuss the results with your manager or team to explore ways to improve your work design.
