What is SMART work design?

The SMART work design framework identifies the key characteristics of jobs that support positive wellbeing, performance, and growth. The five domains are Stimulating, Mastery, Agency, Relational and Tolerable Demands.

This report shows your score for each domain and sub-construct, alongside an Australian employee benchmark (the dark line on each bar).

Note: Higher scores indicate higher quality work design. For Tolerable Demands, higher scores mean demands are more manageable — a better result.
